i actually woke up so early on a sunday :)

im so thankful that i actually managed to wake up on time for church today after san geng ban ye gambling with XIAO HUN HUN MEN and all my aunties and "solo male banker cum ultimate big winner" uncle! haha... i dunno why we must always wait till ye lan ren jing before everyone has this sudden urge to organise into a group and play. weird ah. oli and i concluded that night-owl genes runs in the family. :) last night's gambling was madness! uncle allan had so many ban-luk that we suspected he zou pai (tempted with the cards) haha.. nana and her millenium note, poppit with the suay 50 dollar note courtesy of nana, TARO with the unlucky dust on her shirt (haha) and oli and her pasar auntie "lai ah.. lai ah.." so funny!! it was quite a waste that we couldnt blanjah uncle allan to give us BIG supper treat cuz TPgang had to go home and nick had shooting exercise this morning.

anyway.. im so happy that kar jiejie came to church with us after mummy's many many invitations. yay!! although we hardly meet and i dont exactly know her that well, we all had great fun together! she also provided the much needed company following poppit's absence today, which ridded the "only child ONLY LONELY" (SHE's song. heh) feeling i get whenever i go out alone with my parents. we introduced her to mary, also my newest church "jiejie", and mary couldnt believe that kar is actually my aunt. we eventually agreed on the term "young aunt" as proposed by kar jiejie. haha.. so nice to have kar and mary join us for lunch at SIZZLERS!!! (lucky poppit didnt grumble when we told her. haha) wa.. eat and talk until my tummy so bloated! today's meeting was wonderful and i look forward to meeting them again this fri or sat, hopefully. Brother Kenneth Copeland and his wife Gloria are going to be in town this week and i heard they are truly annointed servants of God. i have read their books and they are seriously not bad! time to check out how they are like in person, therefore i should be attending their services at Singapore Indoor Stadium. any interested parties please do let me know k. it will be from 24th to 26th and there will be 2 services each day.

i pray that kar jiejie and her friend, who overslept, can come regularly for church meetings to receive God's abundant blessings and that we all prosper as we grow in faith. looking forward to bible study with mary too. thank you Lord.

ok.. so i didn't win any toto prize money for the hong bao draw, which means i will not be able to go anywhere else for tour or study at the moment. SIGH! ele and erf, you guys would have to go ahead w/o me. judging from the statistics of the prize winners for the 10 million buckeroos, i probably should have bought quickpick instead of coming up with all the absolutely wacky ways to choose the numbers. haha.. well, i managed to get 3 numbers right though. i always get at least 3 numbers right.. why not 4.. or 5.. or 6.. hah.. sigh. i dunno if i ought to believe in such a thing called luck. haha. so.. should i continue to buy for the next draw? and the next? and the next? sheesh im addicted to gambling.. must be the lingering GONGXIFACAIHAPPYNEWYEAR virus.

probably the problem of probability

if i had remembered correctly, CNA said that the probability of winning the 10 million group one prize in today's hong bao draw is approximately one in ten million.
im crossing my fingers and saying nothing YET. yes, i am desperate (but not a housewife. heh) and ele, i hope you're with me on this. haha... and that JO better remember to buy the tix for this draw!!! :P

also, i remember watching a video during phy lect that claimed that the probability of dying due to the impact of an asteroid smashing into earth is higher than that of dying in an aeroplane crash. do you believe that?

don't you just hate it when pple play the guessing game with you.

sometimes the things which pple mean to say to you aren't very pleasant, and so they unscrupulously conceal secondary meanings in their words, leaving you to speculate if the truth lies in the audible or inaudible. worse still, they verbally drive you to give dead-end replies, causing you to fall as if you had stumbled on your own foot, then mask a smirk behind a "not my fault hor" expression. brilliant yet despicable. hence, only the educated are capable of such an evil. sigh, yet another drawback of education.

i hate it when pple do that on purpose or perhaps, subconsciously, to me or to others which i may have witnessed. i hate it even more when pple whom i care for are amongst the culprits.

please don't stoop to such lowly, underhand mind games cuz nobody wins everytime. ask Mourinho, Fergie or Wenger, im sure they know better.
